Sunday 8:00 am St. John-Sacred Heart, Sherwood
9:30 am St. Mary Help of Christians, Hilbert
11:00 am St. John-Sacred Heart, St. John
Masses are also available at 87.9 FM Stockbridge, 87.7 FM Sherwood and 91.7 FM Hilbert, in each church site parking lot. The Eucharist will be brought out to those listening on the radio in the
parking lot. The radio Mass is a safe option for those who arrive after Mass attendance capacity is met or for those currently uncomfortable going indoors.
The dispensation from the obligation of Sunday Mass remains in effect until further notice.
Currently Calumet County is limiting gatherings to 50 people. The state-wide mask mandate has been extended. Mask wearing continues to be required for Mass attendees including weddings and funerals. Parishes in the diocese will continue to follow the Safety Precautions as follows:
All will enter through a single entrance
You will use hand sanitizer, receive a mask if you don't have one. Note: Temperatures will no longer be taken when you arrive at Mass. With weather beginning to turn cold, the thermometers report several degrees cooler than actual temperature.
Pews, which have been sanitized before and after each Mass, will be sectioned for social distancing
to show where you can/cannot be seated; liturgical Mass and music books are removed from pews
No choir - only a cantor with or without a musician
Only a priest will consume the Blood of Christ
Only a priest or deacon will distribute Communion using hand sanitizer; ushers will assist with flow
Bulletins will be available as you leave church
How to Receive Communion
Leave your mask on as you approach the priest
Receive the Eucharist in you hand
Step to the side in the direction of the flow
Take your mask down on one side and consume the Eucharist
Put your mask back on as you return to your pew
What Will Not Be Different at Mass
We will hear all of the readings like always; we will pray for each other; we will participate in all the
Eucharist prayers and we will receive Jesus in the Eucharist
