St John Sacred Heart

The second graders of St. John-Sacred Heart will advance in their reading and language art skills by oral & silent reading, and story journal writings. The children will learn about themselves, animals and the skills they need to be responsible within their environment.

They will reinforce the study of the communites and enhance on their maps skills. Your child will continue to work on basic math skills, money counting, & telling time. They will learn about regrouping, word problems and fractions.

The second graders participate in weekly mass liturgies. They will concentrate on services to others. They will be preparing for and receive Sacraments of First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion.

Art, music, health and physical education are involved in their weekly activites. They also will be participate in an annual dance program and the holiday progam.

Our second graders meet daily at St. John- Sacred Heart School in St. John.
