The members of the Pastoral Council advise the Pastor of what is going on with the Parish from a parishioner’s point of view. They keep him advised of where the Parishioners are and where they would like the Parish to go. They are long term thinkers for the direction of the Parish and are busy with 6 month, 5 year, and 10 year plans for the Parish. This is not a “doing” committee. They do not have bake sales, set the RE schedule, or figure out the Parish budget. When they see a need they develop a committee to be the working group to accomplish this goal.
