Playing an instrument gives a child new opportunities to develop better study skills, memory, attention, listening, physical coordination, discipline, and a higher-level thinking patterns.  Performing in band provides numerous worthwhile activities that a student can enjoy through high school while developing a life-long skill.  Students in grades 5-8 can participate in the band program at SJSH School.  Enrollment in band begins in spring for the following school year.
